Advanced Tool-Less Braid Termination Technology Isodyne designs and manufactures a patented Tool-Less Braid Termination System for EMI backshell applications. The technology is engineered for wire harness assemblies requiring EMI/RFI shielding, HERF protection, and lightning protection. Both individual shields and overall braid are terminated at the backshell using a single band, enhancing electrical performance while enabling straightforward re-entry.

The removable, reusable band allows rapid repair and system upgrades without the need for calibrated tools. Proven in service since 1990, Isodyne’s technology is widely deployed in high shock and vibration environments, including land platforms such as the M1/A2 tank, military rotary-wing aircraft, C-130 transports, KC-135 tankers, and unmanned systems.
